At the beginning of September, we were in London participating in the 10th edition of the QB50 Workshop and the 8th European CubeSat Symposium. Solenix supports the QB50 project with both consultancy and further development on their baseline mission control system.
During the workshop, it was the perfect occasion to present and gather feedback from the teams on our latest developments: a mobile application for outreach purposes and the compatibility of the QB50 MCS with our BOSS Dashboard. At the symposium, Yann and Martin presented a paper on mitigating risks with the use of a proper mission control system. The objective of the paper was to highlight common mistakes experienced during the lifecycle of a mission gathered from the lessons learned of various teams and present aspects of modern satellite control systems, like our Elveti, which can help the mission teams to avoid or minimise those situations. You can have a look at the abstract of our paper here, where you will also find the abstracts of all contributions. The symposium was also an excellent opportunity to network and get to know young companies in this emerging market.
