22 June 2017
On 20 and 21 June 2017, the sixth edition of the European Ground System Architecture Workshop (ESAW) took place at ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany.
Our colleagues Martin Tykal and Yann Voumard attended the event, which brings together international companies and organisations around the topic of ground systems architecture for space missions. This year the focus was given to collaboration and common solutions.
Solenix had two posters in the exhibition area, featuring Algorithms as a Service and new techniques for collaboration. Both ideas caught the attention of several participants and visitors, who approached our colleagues for further insights and information.
But the highlight of our participation at ESAW was our presentation in the Big Data session. Martin Tykal introduced our concept for “A Unified View on Your Data”, based on our dashboard solution BOSS. Although BOSS is based on the Kibana dashboard technology, BOSS is completely database agnostic, offering many advantages in the integration with and access to existing data sources. BOSS also allows displaying data from multiple heterogeneous sources in the same overview, truly achieving a unified view on all data of an end-to-end system. Martin also highlighted the advantages of our concept, which not only facilitates monitoring, but also supports anomaly detection and trend analysis. In a nutshell, obtaining a concise synopsis of a system helps, in its turn, getting a deeper understanding of it.
