Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Frontend Software Engineer with expertise in the Angular framework, skilled in transforming conceptual designs into vibrant and engaging user interfaces. This position requires an advanced understanding of Angular and a keen interest in keeping up with its ongoing development. To excel in this role, you will need experience with TypeScript, state management using NgRx, and testing frameworks such as Karma, Protractor, or Cypress. Proficiency in HTML and CSS is essential, and strong UI/UX design skills will be highly valued. We envision this as a full-time opportunity for software engineers who are enthusiastic about frontend technology.

Your mission

As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will empower spacecraft engineers and controllers with powerful visualizations for existing and future systems. Your work will support informed decision-making, reduce human errors, and contribute to the success of European space initiatives. Your creations will be prominently displayed on screens in various European control rooms, where our software is actively utilized.

You will also be expected to stay on top of new developments in frontend technology and emerging paradigms, influencing decisions within the engineering team. This role offers significant potential for career development, including increased involvement and responsibility in company initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor or master's in computer science or similar qualification, preferably with a focus on software engineering
  • Pro-active attitude with initiative and interest in challenging solutions
  •  Excellent communication skills in an international environment
  •  Experience with Angular Framework and Typescript
  •  HTML/CSS Expertise
  •  UI/UX design and implementation using Material Design
  •  State management with NGRx
  •  Experience in integration with REST APIs
  •  Testing skills with Karma, Protactor and/or Cypress
  •  Build tools like webpack, Angular CLI or Gulp.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Linux Environments
  • Continuous integration environments and source control management systems and their respective tools,
    • e.g. GitLab and SonarQube
    • React or Svelte
    • SCSS
    • Experience with Primefaces and Bootstrap
    • Experience with mobile-first design principles
