This week Solenix was present at the Living Planet Symposium 2016, in Prague, Czech Republic. In its fifth edition, the event was the largest Earth Observation conference ever!
Solenix staff were manning the "Applications and Platforms" stand of the ESA exhibition as part of their work in the Thematic Exploitation Platforms (TEP) Engineering Support team at ESRIN, giving demos and providing information on the platforms to visitors as well as participating in a TEP colocation meeting, which was organized during the event to take advantage of the simultaneous presence of many stakeholders and partners.
The work of the Solenix consortium for Software Prototyping and Mobile App Development at ESRIN was also prominently on display in several locations and sessions of the Symposium: the Sentinel App (available in Google Play and iTunes) at the Copernicus Stand; the Sentinel App, the Proba-V App (available in Google Play and iTunes) and the Educational App for EO prototypes during the ESA EO Education lab for Czech schools; and, finally, a paper and oral presentation about Sentinel Data Visualization using WebWorldWind, the open-source 3D globe framework that the Consortium has been evolving in cooperation with NASA and other partners.
The Symposium was a huge success and Solenix looks forward to continuing its prosperous collaboration with ESA and contributing to these joint success stories.
