Job Description

We are looking for a Communication and Event Support Coordinator to join a team of multidisciplinary consultants working at the site of our customer, the European Space Agency, in Frascati, Italy. As a member of this team, you will be responsible to support communication and event organization for our customer.

Your tasks will include:

  • Event management, production, logistics, and support: Coordinate with external vendors, speakers, and partners to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies for events, with a specific focus on messaging for key stakeholder groups.
  • Develop and coordinate content for websites, social media, and communications material to build internal and external visibility and increase interest among key stakeholder groups.
  • Coordinate the revamp of the team’s website
  • Coordinate the implementation of a newsletter addressed to main stakeholders
  • Act as focal point for communication with external partners concerning the development of press releases
  • Support to management where it relates to communications and engagement
  • Liaise with ESA communication team to align communication strategy and communication products 
  • Support the development of promotional materials such as gadgets for events or other outreach campaigns
  • Coordinate efforts to collect material and information to produce at least 20 yearly news pieces for the website and newsletter
  • Develop a yearly communication strategy and calendar of event

 

Travel to event locations are needed in order to ensure smooth event organisation and to support all the logistics related to the events. 

 

Required Skills and Experience:

•        Master degree (or equivalent) in Communication, European Studies, Foreign Languages or similar
•        Experience in communication and outreach activities
•        Excellent knowledge of web, social media, event organisation and press coordination
•        Experience in working in an international environment, preferably in international organisations
•        Excellent writing skills
•        Knowledge of the Space and/or Earth observation environment
•        Fluent in spoken and written English. Knowledge of other languages is a positive asset
•        Proactivity, autonomy, problem identification and solving attitude. Team player.

Work Location: This position is mostly on-site at ESA/ESRIN, with the possibility of remote work some days per week. 

Start Date: August 2026
